Stan Szary, BA
President & CEO, Director

Stan immigrated to Canada from Poland in 1962 and has over 30 years of business and professional experience. A graduate of the University of Saskatchewan (1978) he has worked for the international accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand (now Price Waterhouse) and as an investment advisor with the investment firms of Midland Walwyn and Prudential Bache Securities in Saskatoon and Calgary (1978 -- 1987). Mr. Szary has consulted to major international investment funds, including sovereign funds, in structuring and administrating ventures involved with public companies and has played an instrumental role in spearheading national and international start up ventures as founder, financier and manager in established and emerging markets working in London, Geneva, Barbados and Poland (1987 -- 2001). Since 2001 he has been based in Vancouver primarily involved in the junior resource sector as investor, director and executive, assisting in the formation, listing, administration and financing of several resource companies. Joining Saturn Minerals in 2007 as a director and VP of Corporate Development, Stan assumed the role of President in October of 2010.

 
Vitaly Melnikov, CPA, MBA
CFO & Corporate Secretary, Director

Mr. Vitaly Melnikov was appointed Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of Saturn Minerals in October 2011, and Director in August 2012. He currently serves as Director of the board and Chief Financial Officer of Mass Petroleum Inc. and also as Managing Director of Istok Capital Inc., which provides corporate finance and advisory services to public companies. Mr. Melnikov was most recently Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of Evolving Gold Corp. and before that he was Vice President, Finance and Administration of UrAsia Energy Ltd. prior to its merger with Uranium One in April 2007. Mr Melnikov has also held financial management positions with PetroKazakhstan (formerly Hurricane Hydrocarbons), a vertically integrated oil & gas company acquired by China National Petroleum Corporation in October 2005; and Kumtor Gold Company with one of the largest operating gold mines in Central Asia (currently owned by Centerra Gold). Mr. Melnikov is a Certified Public Accountant (USA).

 

 
Krzysztof Mastalerz, Ph.D, P.Geo
VP Exploration, Director

Dr. Mastalerz is a Professional Geologist with over 30 years of exploration experience in Canada, Russia, and Latin America at both the industry and academic levels. Dr. Mastalerz is solely responsible for Saturn's proprietary exploration model for eastern Saskatchewan and western Manitoba, the application of which has resulted in some of the largest coal discoveries ever reported in Canada.  Dr. Mastalerz was also responsible for correctly identifying oil and oil source rock in coal drill core which has established the oil & gas potential for the northern part of the Williston Basin in eastern Saskatchewan. Dr. Mastalerz holds a Doctorate (Natural Sciences) from the University of Wroclaw, Poland, and is fluent in English, Polish, and Spanish.

 
Marlene Lumberjack, LLB
Advisory Board, Director of Saskatchewan Operations

Mrs. Lumberjack has over 30 years experience in community, governmental and First Nation policy.  She has worked for the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations ("FSIN") in various capacities including the General Council's Office, Treaty Governance, the Senate and the Health and Social Development Commission.  She has worked with Elders throughout Saskatchewan via the Exploratory Treaty Tables on Justice, Lands and Resources with senior officials from Indian Affairs, the Treaty Commissioner's Office and FSIN.  She has worked as a Senior Policy Analyst for the Intergovernmental MOU on Health with Indian Affairs, First Nations and Inuit Health Branch, including FSIN on the development of an Aboriginal Health Plan.  In 2008, Mrs. Lumberjack played an integral role in the proposal and subsequent formation of the Treaty Four Resource Council and its mandate to create an innovative approach for the mining and exploration industry in Saskatchewan to work collaboratively with First Nations.  Mrs. Lumberjack is also the recipient of the Victor and Letha Colleaux Bursary for her achievements in the College of Law, University of Saskatchewan.

Marlene Lumberjack is a member of the Kinistin Saulteaux First Nation and acts as Director of Saskatchewan Operations from the Company's Saskatoon office.

 
Allan Danroth, MBA
Director

Mr. Danroth is currently Vice President, Planning, Business Transformation and Information Services of Capital Power Corporation (TSX: CPX), a growth-oriented North American power producer headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta. Prior to his appointment as Vice President, Planning, Business Transformation and Information Services, Mr. Danroth was Vice President of Genesee Operations of Capital Power Corporation, which entailed a coal mine producing 5 million tons of coal per year for a 1,300 MW power plant. Mr. Danroth has extensive experience in strategic planning, corporate forecasting and valuations, business transformation, supply chain management, and information services. A graduate of Athabasca University's MBA program, and the British Columbia Institute of Technology Management program, Mr. Danroth also holds a First Class Power Engineering designation. Mr Danroth sits on the Board of Inversa Systems  and has previously sat on the non-profit board for The Support Network.  In 2011, Allan was named Alberta's CIO of the Year by Alberta Oil & Gas Magazine.

 
Stefan Szary, BA

Mr. Szary provides extensive investor relations reports, services and materials for the institutional and retail investment community and the financial media. Mr. Szary also provides experience in mineral rights acquisition & maintenance, joint-venture and option agreement negotiations and community relations. Mr. Szary is a graduate of Bishop's University in Lennoxville, Quebec.

Mr. Elston has over 20 years of experience in corporate restructuring and junior company finance with a specific focus on the natural resources sector.  Mr. Elston maintains an extensive network of institutional partners & associates in Europe and North America.
